Leadership, Management and Supervision

“A mentor once told me, 'Never doubt yourself if someone else thinks you can do the job. I measure my own success as a leader by how well the people who work for me succeed. While we may be individually strong, we are collectively powerful.”

Successful organisations thrive and develop under smart, visionary and effective leaders. Individuals develop effective and dynamic leadership skills through a range of learning opportunities, but arguably there can be no better form of professional development than being mentored by an expert leader with a proven track record. The exposure to targeted 1:1 mentoring experience from someone who has been there in the thick of it, and is now prepared to share their knowledge and experience, is second to none.

No matter where you are in the hierarchy of your organisation, your people skills are critical. Getting individuals, teams and organisations to perform at their creative best is no accident. Acquiring those skills requires an investment in time and effort. SMart Mentoring focuses that effort down to just two people, you and your mentor and one key recipient, you!

Mentoring SMart is an opportunity to be mentored at distance by experts and specialists with knowledge of techniques, equipment, tools and new innovations. However, our Smart Mentors also have an understanding of front line issues faced on almost a daily basis and relevant soft skills that can support effective day to day delivery.

Using phone, computer and tablet technology fo remote SMart Mentoring still allows for live labs, demonstrations, equipment usage and sharing real live techniques in action.

SMart Mentoring is a professional development tool, and therefore issues such as improving teaching and learning, strengthening coaching techniques, working effectively with students in the front line, being the first point of contact for students who may have health and/or stress issues and of course quality matters can also be covered.
